HISTORY OF ISP
International School of Prishtina and Mehmet Akif College were opened by Gulistan Education center in order to contribute to and promote education in Kosovo.
The origin of our schools date back to 1999, the war days of sorrow and grief. The seeds of these wonderful institutions were initially sowed in the soil of motherland Albania during this period. As soon as, the ceasefire for war had been proclaimed, the Kosovars in Albania invited the authorities of Gulistan Education Centre in Albania to open a school in Kosovo. In the aftermath of bilateral and prolonged discussions with the authorities in Kosovo, Mehmet Akif College, a sister school, of ISP was opened initially in Gazuli School in the year 2000 with only two classes. ISP, however, opened later on in the early days of February, 2008 after a great insisting demand for a private primary school from the Kosovo community. Since then, both institutions have portrayed and procured outstanding results academically and socially. Both schools have become the pioneers of private education in Kosovo with currently over 1100 students in two campuses, Veternik and Prizren
Quite recently, by implementing innovative and contemporary methods and consequently achieving great success all round. ISP’s great success has become a benchmark for all other public and private primary schools in Kosovo to set a target to.
